Correct cleaning
Start by cleaning the hot tub. Clean the cover of the tub regularly, using a damp cloth to prevent any dirt from adhering. Treat the cover with a vinyl cleaner once or twice a year. The high-quality external panelling on your Villeroy & Boch hot tub can be cleaned easily using a liquid domestic cleaning product. To tackle heavy soiling, you can use a pressure washer, but make sure you observe the specified minimum distance to avoid damaging the surface. Finally, the inner shell can be cleaned easily using a standard all-purpose cleaner. Have you found any scratches? No problem, some fine-grained sandpaper and polish will soon make them disappear.
Optimal relaxation - in clean water
In addition to the hot tub itself, you also need to make sure the water stays clean. This is important not only for complete relaxation, but also for hygiene and health reasons. We recommend changing the water at least three or even five times a year, and cleaning the pipes at the same time. The very first time you use your hot tub with fresh water, we recommend carrying out a shock chlorination to kill off bacteria and germs. Then check the alkalinity of the water. These values should be between 80 and 120 for use, with the ideal reading being precisely 100. After the first use of your hot tub, you should remove the filter every four to six weeks and clean it using appropriate tablets as required. Carry out a simple filter clean once a week and check the water quality two or three times a week. To treat the water, we recommend the tested and high-quality Aquafiness product.
