- Wash 2 sour red apples and remove the cores. Sprinkle the inside of the apples with a little lemon juice.
- Mix the butter, icing sugar, cinnamon and chopped almonds together and fill the apples with the mixture.
- Place the apples in an ovenproof dish. Bake in the oven at about 200 °C for about 35 minutes. After baking for about 20 minutes, cover with aluminium foil and continue to bake.
- Douse the baked apples with melted butter and arrange on the La Boule serving plate.
